As of we Ryumeian has been managing food business here in Ochanomizu more than 100 years, we are honored to contribute any kinds of cultural heritage to our origin area named of Ocha (green tea). And today we are happy to introduce you a newly restaurant "1899 OCHANOMIZU" featured on green tea/Ocha.

Green Tea is recently more focused on its nutrition by healthy conscious people.
Although it is well known already as a traditional Japanese beverage, in younger generation these days tea pot is disappearing from their ordinary household due to the spread of tea sold in plastic bottle.

Executive Chef : Masafumi Okubo

After experienced as an executive chef Japanese cuisine "HANA GOYOMI TOKYO" in 2014, started as of newly executive chef Restaurant "1899 OCHANOMIZU" in August 2014. In 2016, he studied under Ms. Mutsuko Tokunaga (Cooking specialist).
With strong passion to create elegant recipe of GREEN TEA cuisine, Chef Okubo is challenging more feature on green tea fused with Japanese cuisine. He is very cheerful and friendly person full of humor in private time.

1899 OCHANOMIZU is featured on GREEN TEA cuisine not only as a beverage. You will enjoy diversified green tea cuisine. And our originally made 1899 Matcha(green tea) Beer is very popular so please try it. Have you ever tried Matcha Beer?
